Meet Jamie
My Story
Jamie Davin is a proud Santa Barbara native, wife to Skyler and a mother of two beautiful daughters. Her journey into motherhood began with her first daughter’s unexpected cesarean delivery, followed by a transformative home VBAC with her second. Both of these beautiful and profound experiences ignited her passion for becoming a doula, as she believes that "all women deserve a doula". Ensuring women and families feel safe, supported & empowered through pregnancy, birth & beyond is Jamie's passion.
In addition to being a doula, Jamie has taught Prenatal Yoga since 2018. Her holistic approach integrates the movement and breath practices of prenatal yoga into her doula support, fostering a deep sense of connection and well-being for mothers. By nurturing both the body and spirit, Jamie creates a calming space that empowers women on their unique journey to motherhood.

Philosophy
Jamie truly believes in the power of women's bodies. She believes women are entitled to respect, autonomy, and informed consent throughout their entire Motherhood journey and Jamie strives to ensure each client knows their rights and choices. When a woman is empowered through her birth she is able to begin Motherhood fully rooted in her strength. Trauma occurs when there is a lack of these crucial elements. Jamie's mission is that each client is able to experience pregnancy and birth feeling loved, supported and revered.
Jamie is also a fierce supporter and proponent of TOLAC/VBAC (Trial of Labor After Cesearean/Vaginal Birth After Ceserean). She believes that every pregnancy is different, every baby is different, every labor is different and (barring any medical issues) a woman deserves the right to try for VBAC if that is their wish to do so. You can read an Op-Ed Jamie wrote in the Santa Barbara Independent on her experience to her own Home VBAC.
